Generator Tech III

An established power generation service organization is seeking an experienced Generator Technician to perform advanced preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, commissioning, and corrective repairs on commercial and industrial generator systems.

This role is ideal for a senior-level technician who can work independently in the field and handle complex diagnostic work.

• Perform advanced troubleshooting on diesel and gas generator systems
• Conduct preventive maintenance and load bank testing
• Complete startup commissioning on new equipment
• Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical issues
• Prepare repair recommendations and estimates
• Document work performed and communicate findings clearly
• Provide technical support to customers and dealers as needed

This is a hands-on field role requiring independent work and direct customer interaction.

• Extensive experience servicing commercial or industrial generator systems
• Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting ability
• Experience with diesel and gas-powered generators
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Willingness to travel and respond to service calls as needed

Post-secondary education in electrical technology or related field is preferred but not required. Relevant certifications are a plus.

This position requires availability for emergency service response as part of the service team.
