Traveling Heavy Equipment Mechanic (Diesel / Hydraulics) – Nationwide ProjectsLive Anywhere in the U.S. | Paid Travel + Per Diem | Up to $45/hr + OT
This is a field-based opportunity with a fast-growing company in the solar industry, supporting equipment that installs and maintains solar panel systems across the country.
What You’ll Do:- Travel to job sites to operate, maintain, and repair heavy equipment
- Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems
- Perform preventative maintenance and on-site repairs
- Work in outdoor environments on large-scale solar projects
- Experience working on heavy equipment (construction, diesel, excavators, tractors, backhoes, etc.)
- Strong hydraulics troubleshooting and repair experience
- Basic to solid electrical troubleshooting skills
- Comfortable diagnosing equipment breakdowns in the field
- Open to a travel-heavy role
No solar experience needed – equipment is niche, but components are standard
Schedule & Work Environment:- Daylight hours (typically 6:00 AM start, can be as early as 5:00 AM)
- 3 weeks on / 1 weekend off rotation
- 45–60 hours per week (OT available)
- Projects primarily located in AZ, TX, NV, and OH (open desert / large job sites)
- 100% travel role – live anywhere in the U.S.
- All travel is paid (you’re on the clock while traveling)
- Per diem provided
- 3 weeks of paid training before deployment
- In-person interview in Las Vegas (equipment walkthrough)
- Up to $45/hour + overtime
- Consistent hours + long-term stability
- Valid driver’s license required

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $40.00 - $45.00/hr.
