- Hybrid 2 (Operational Roles such as but not limited to: Customer Service, Claims Processors, and Correspondence positions): must reside in AZ, unless otherwise cited within this posting, required to be onsite at least once per month
- Onsite: daily onsite requirement based on the essential functions of the job
- Remote: not held to onsite requirements, however, leadership can request presence onsite for business reasons including but not limited to staff meetings, one‑on‑ones, training, and team building

This position is onsite within the state of AZ only. This onsite work opportunity requires residency, and work to be performed, within the State of Arizona.

QualificationsREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Required Work Experience
- 5 years of experience in building maintenance or general mechanical repair
- HVAC diagnosis, repair and maintenance practices
Required Education
- High‑School Diploma or GED in general field of study
Required Licenses
- A valid Arizona driver license with an acceptable driving record
Required Certifications
- Arizona Journeyman’s HVAC Certificate, or completion of apprenticeship program
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Preferred Work Experience
- 8 years of experience in building HVAC and mechanical maintenance or general mechanical repair
- Experience with computerized energy management systems
Preferred Education
- Associate’s Degree in general field of study

- N/A
Preferred Certifications
- Arizona Journeyman’s HVAC Certificate, or completion of apprenticeship program
- Oversees the design, installation, and maintenance of HVAC systems in commercial properties
- HVAC building engineer is responsible for the operation, maintenance, and repair of a building's heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems, including tasks like inspecting equipment, performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting malfunctions, coordinating with contractors for repairs, and ensuring compliance with safety and building codes, all while prioritizing the efficiency and comfort of the building's occupants;essentially acting as the primary caretaker of the building's climate control systems.
- Responsibilities:
Performs complex preventive and corrective maintenance, repairs and installations of mechanical, HVAC equipment, machinery and controls located in the interior and exterior of buildings. Working under the general direction of the Senior Building Maintenance Engineer, monitors building system operations and performance. Has critical, specialized knowledge required at client site. - Operates, maintains, monitors, and performs preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on all building HVAC and mechanical equipment, which may include: chillers, cooling towers, air handlers, roof top units, temperature control systems, building management systems, and digital systems.
