Facade Installation Superintendent

Overview

Digital Building Components (DBC), part of the DPR family of companies, is looking for an experienced Installation Superintendent to lead an installation crew of metal panel facades. The role requires nationwide travel to oversee installation of DBC panels, focusing on safety, planning, production, cost, scheduling, logistics, communication, and organization.

• Manage DBC subcontractors on site (metal panel, caulking, cranes, deliveries, etc.).
• Lead the crew to maintain productivity and schedule.
• Ensure crew follows DBC’s code of conduct while representing the company.
• Resolve field issues and know when to engage engineering or management.
• Schedule and coordinate jobsite inspections in interaction with inspectors.

• Submit daily reports.
• Manage site logistics, craning, and rigging.
• Identify and document field issues using measurements, photos, and email.
• Respond to issues or questions in meetings and email promptly or escalates when needed.
• Track job schedules and daily/weekly progress.
• Recognize and eliminate hazards and unsafe practices.
• Hold jobsite safety meetings and promote an injury‑free environment.
• Participate in overall jobsite safety meetings.
• Review, comment on, and markup drawings and spool sheets.
• Manage crew travel plans.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

• General understanding of welding.
• General knowledge of exterior skin systems and waterproofing.
• Ability to identify and resolve complex issues.
• Reading and interpreting drawings, sections, details, and BIM models.
• Developing and communicating pre‑task plans, job hazard analysis, and crane packages.
• Professional communication with GC team, other subs, and consultants.
• Excellent listening and communication abilities, proficient with tablet, computer, and phone technology.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and accuracy.
• Dependable work ethic and ability to meet deadlines and adapt to changing priorities.

• 15+years of experience with metal stud framing and drywall.
• Layout and control of framing and hanging.
• Fire rating and STC rating experience.
• Fire caulking and fire saffing experience.
• Supervision of a crew of 15 or more.
• Panelized construction or concrete formwork systems (layout, flying, setting, anchoring, bracing).
• Leading edge work experience.
• OSHA 10&30 certification.
• Rigging certification (must be achieved within first 2 months).
• First Aid & CPR training (must be achieved within first 2 months).
• Experience with multi‑story load‑bearing framing (wood or gauge steel) a plus.
• Blue Beam, Trimble, and Total Station experience a plus.
• Bi‑lingual in Spanish a plus.

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Ability to lift up to 50pounds at times.
• Willingness to travel throughout the U.S. to installation sites.
