Construction - Industrial Services Foreman (Millwright)

MMI, an industrial contractor and steel fabricating company based in Mesa, Arizona, is seeking an experienced Industrial Services Foreman (Millwright) with a minimum of 5 years of field experience in a similar role.

Location

Phoenix metro area, with occasional travel to other states.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure work conditions are safe and efficient.
  • Support team members to successfully complete projects.
  • Read and understand blueprints and specifications.
  • Maintain strict adherence to safety rules and regulations, including the use of required PPE.
  • Plan, coordinate, and organize people, equipment, tools, and materials to promote the safe, efficient, and timely construction of the project.
  • Ensure timely completion of work assignments and project deadlines within estimated costs while maintaining the company’s reputation and high standards for quality workmanship.
  • Instruct and train crew to operate equipment and tools to develop trade knowledge and skills.
  • Verbally communicate in a professional manner with the project team and customers.
  • Work with crew to complete daily inspection forms electronically.
  • Prepare and send daily reports electronically.
  • Work side by side with the crew on tasks.
  • Be available to work overtime, nights, and weekends as required by workload.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant field experience as an Industrial Services Foreman.
  • Strong understanding of site safety, project scope, and scheduling.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to use all provided communication tools.
  • Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding, torching, man lifts, crane signaling, and rigging.
  • Knowledge of construction and maintenance in manufacturing, process plants, aggregate, piping, mining, and agricultural facilities.
  • Ability to pass a drug test and a background check.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Physical ability to perform heavy lifting, pushing or pulling, stooping, kneeling, crawling, laying, bending, squatting, climbing, working in confined spaces, and working outdoors in all weather conditions; may require work at heights exceeding 100ft.
