Facilities Technician

Position subject to Collective Bargaining Agreement.

Pay: $28.56/hr.

• Performs routine facility maintenance duties such as painting, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, welding, HVAC repairs, and other related assignments
• Performs routine preventive maintenance on equipment
• Performs non‑routine repairs to equipment
• Uses tools and operates equipment needed to perform job functions; equipment includes concrete breakers, bucket truck, cranes, forklifts, etc.
• Assists with moving furniture and equipment
• Other duties as required

• High school diploma or equivalent (e.g., GED) required
• One to three years of progressively responsible experience in building and grounds maintenance
• Ability to use a wide variety of hand tools and repair equipment
• Ability to understand and interpret instruction manuals
• Ability to perform inspections associated with environmental requirements
• Ability to maintain environmental logs
• Ability to perform preventive maintenance on shop equipment
• Basic mechanical ability
• Subject to a DOT drug test and physical if applicable
• Applicants must be eligible to work in the United States without restriction, pass a pre‑employment drug screen, and a background check

• Work outside in varying temperature, weather, and humidity conditions, alone and in remote locations
• Sit for extended periods (up to 6–8 hours per day); frequently walk for long distances and on possible sloped ground or slippery and uneven surfaces
• Push and pull objects, occasionally throughout the workday; lift material weighing up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance; occasionally bend, kneel, or crouch to files or equipment stored at ground level
• Withstand heavy traffic areas while performing the duties of the job; tolerate exposure to dust, vehicle fumes, and noise
