Facilities Technician
Position subject to Collective Bargaining Agreement.
Pay: $28.56/hr.

- Performs routine facility maintenance duties such as painting, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, welding, HVAC repairs, and other related assignments
- Performs routine preventive maintenance on equipment
- Performs non‑routine repairs to equipment
- Uses tools and operates equipment needed to perform job functions; equipment includes concrete breakers, bucket truck, cranes, forklifts, etc.
- Assists with moving furniture and equipment
- Other duties as required
- High school diploma or equivalent (e.g., GED) required
- One to three years of progressively responsible experience in building and grounds maintenance
- Ability to use a wide variety of hand tools and repair equipment
- Ability to understand and interpret instruction manuals
- Ability to perform inspections associated with environmental requirements
- Ability to maintain environmental logs
- Ability to perform preventive maintenance on shop equipment
- Basic mechanical ability
- Subject to a DOT drug test and physical if applicable
- Applicants must be eligible to work in the United States without restriction, pass a pre‑employment drug screen, and a background check
- Work outside in varying temperature, weather, and humidity conditions, alone and in remote locations
- Sit for extended periods (up to 6–8 hours per day); frequently walk for long distances and on possible sloped ground or slippery and uneven surfaces
- Push and pull objects, occasionally throughout the workday; lift material weighing up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance; occasionally bend, kneel, or crouch to files or equipment stored at ground level
- Withstand heavy traffic areas while performing the duties of the job; tolerate exposure to dust, vehicle fumes, and noise
