Job Summary
Our Dock & Door Technicians, also known as "Service Professionals," serve as the core of our preventative and emergency response services for customers across a variety of settings such as commercial buildings, aircraft hangers, schools, and warehouses.
Room for GrowthThe role offers career progression across four levels:
- Apprentice Level (Level I) – ideal for candidates passionate about learning and willing to train. Prior experience in a related field is a plus.
- Service Professional Level (Level II) – requires at least one year of related experience and basic electrical and hydraulic troubleshooting skills.
- Senior Level (Level III) – involves 4 years of experience with AED, high‑speed, or gate repairs and proficient hydraulic and electrical troubleshooting.
- Expert Level (Level IV) – master of the craft with 8+ years of experience, extensive dock‑leveler and door repair knowledge, and leadership skills.
Service Professionals are responsible for on‑site customer care, including troubleshooting, servicing, inspecting, installing, and repairing industrial equipment such as doors and loading docks. The role requires maintaining detailed work orders, operating a vehicle to visit multiple customer sites, and ensuring OSHA safety compliance.
RequirementsQualified candidates possess:
- 2–4 years of relevant experience with a focus on execution quality and customer impact.
- Ability to repair industrial facilities, including doors, loading docks, and dock‑levelers.
- Willingness to learn welding, steel fabrication, and electrical; hydraulic and pneumatic experience is a plus.
- Capability to take direction and work independently while on the road for extended periods.
- Strong communication, problem‑solving, and analytical skills; critical thinking is essential.
- Technical school training and OEM certifications are desirable but not required.
- Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays; overtime is available.
- A clean driving record and a valid driver’s license for the state of employment.
