We are seeking a skilled and dependable Low Voltage Technician to join our Phoenix team, specializing in the installation and layout of structured cabling systems for commercial environments. This is a permanent installation role focused on pulling, routing, terminating, labeling, testing, and supporting low voltage cabling infrastructure across diverse job sites. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience with structured cabling installation, a strong understanding of cable pathways and construction drawings, and the ability to complete clean, organized work that meets company and industry standards.
Job Responsibilities- Install structured cabling systems including Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6A, coax, and related low voltage cabling in commercial environments
- Pull, route, dress, terminate, and label cabling according to project specifications, company standards, and industry best practices
- Install and support cable pathways such as J‑hooks, ladder rack, cable tray, conduit, sleeves, and other support structures as needed
- Terminate and test data jacks, patch panels, faceplates, work‑area outlets, and telecommunications room cabling
- Interpret and follow floor plans, cable schedules, pathway drawings, and construction documents
- Test, troubleshoot, and verify installed cabling to ensure proper connectivity, performance, and documentation
- Assist with additional low voltage installations such as access control hardware, security cabling, or fiber cabling when needed
- Work closely with project managers, foremen, and other technicians to ensure timely and accurate installation
- Maintain a clean and organized job site and comply with all safety procedures
- Ensure all work is completed to industry and company quality standards
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for commuting to job sites
- Ability to lift, carry, bend, and work on ladders or lifts as needed
- Minimum 2 years of commercial structured cabling installation experience
- Experience pulling, routing, dressing, terminating, labeling, and testing copper cabling such as Cat5e, Cat6, and Cat6A
- Ability to install and support common cabling pathways including J‑hooks, cable tray, ladder rack, conduit, and sleeves
- Ability to interpret floor plans, cable schedules, pathway drawings, and construction documents
- Familiarity with industry standards and best practices for structured cabling installation, labeling, testing, and documentation
- Additional experience with access control hardware, security systems, or fiber optic cabling is desired but not required
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to troubleshoot and problem‑solve in the field
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with a team
- Pay: $30-35/hr with potential bonus at year end
- Shift Time and Days: 6am-2:30pm, M-F with rare off hours
- Travel is required as needed – per diem, lodging, and travel reimbursements offered
