Installation Technician, Maintenance Technician / Mechanic, General Labor

Location:
303 freeway I-17 freeway, North Phoenix area.
Responsible for reading blueprints and specifications to determine the scope of work, including location, quantities, and sizes of materials required. Identify all tools required for tasks and assess safety risks and precautions needed to eliminate those risks.
Job Duties and Responsibilities- Cut, bend, thread, assemble and install electrical conduit using tools such as conduit benders, Chicago Benders, dual-trigger bandsaws.
- Build closets (mount and install backboards) and install grounding for racks, equipment, and cable as required.
- Observe functioning of installed equipment or system to determine hazards and need for adjustments, relocation, or replacement.
- Fabricate and install rigid & aluminum, E.M.T., plasti-bond, and P.V.C. conduit.
- Use mechanical benders and hydraulic benders (1 1/2”–4”) to fabricate and install conduit supports.
- Install various types of raceway and cable tray systems.
- Assume responsibility for effective performance of crew and provide training, coordinate personnel and timelines to complete projects.
- Complete all IES paperwork accurately and on time (timesheets, material transfers, work orders, change orders, tool transfers, etc.).
- Adhere to and participate in all company, customer and industry quality and safety standards and regulations.
- Complete other responsibilities as assigned.
USD $18.00 per hour (minimum). USD $22.00 per hour (maximum).
Qualifications Physical and Mental Requirements- Self‑motivated, positive, professional, and proactive in implementing project process improvements.
- Accustomed to climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, and repetitive motions.
- Promote company culture and mission to all employees, vendors, clients, and partners.
- Act as the company liaison for interface with customer representatives.
- Proven problem‑solving, critical‑thinking, and effective verbal, written, and presentation skills.
- Able to work at heights, off a ladder, in confined spaces, lift up to 50 pounds and move up to 75 pounds.
- Able to travel within the branch territory and/or regional territory as needed.
- Regular attendance is mandatory.
- Screwdriver (regular and Phillips), drywall saw, torpedo level, tape measure, snips (with belt sheath), pliers (needle nose and channel locks), hammer, wrench set, cable stripper, flashlight, and gloves.
- High School diploma or GED equivalency.
- 0–2 years of experience as an electrician or related technical field and ability to supervise others.
- Proficiency with listed tools.
- Skill level to interpret blueprints and other project documents, including specifications, reporting, and quality requirements.
- Knowledge of universal communications color codes.
- Meet company minimum driving standards.
