Job SummaryThe Forklift Operator is responsible for safely operating forklifts and other material handling equipment to move, load, and unload materials in a warehouse, distribution center, or manufacturing environment. This role ensures accurate inventory handling, timely shipments, and compliance with safety standards.
Key Responsibilities- Operate forklifts and pallet jacks to move materials to designated locations.
- Load and unload trucks, containers, and storage areas efficiently and safely.
- Inspect forklifts and equipment daily to ensure proper working condition; report any maintenance needs.
- Follow all safety protocols and OSHA regulations to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory movement and update tracking systems as required.
- Assist with warehouse organization, including stocking, sorting, and labeling products.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth workflow and timely order fulfillment.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Forklift certification required; previous experience operating forklifts preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and work in a physically demanding environment.
- Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
- Basic computer skills for inventory tracking are a plus.
- Warehouse, distribution, or manufacturing environment.
- May require standing, walking, bending, and lifting for extended periods.
- Safety equipment such as steel‑toed boots and high‑visibility clothing required.
$21.45 per hour
