Job SummaryThe Helper supports electricians, technicians, and field supervisors by performing basic construction and material‑handling tasks on electrical and data communications projects. This entry‑level position provides the foundation for learning the trades through on‑the‑job experience while maintaining a safe, clean, and efficient work environment.

- Assist electricians and data communications technicians with installing conduit, pulling wire, routing cable, and setting up work areas, installing pathways including trays, hooks, raceway, and conduit.
- Load, unload, and organize tools, equipment, and materials as directed.
- Support the setup and breakdown of scaffolding, ladders, lifts, and work platforms.
- Maintain clean and organized work areas, removing debris and excess materials.
- Deliver materials and tools to field locations and ensure proper storage and security.
- Attend and participate in daily safety and production meetings.
- Seek opportunities to learn basic electrical and communications installation techniques from experienced team members.
- Safely operate basic hand and power tools under supervision.
- Assist with labeling, inventory, and project documentation as needed.
- Must be able to work outdoors year‑round in various weather conditions typical to Arizona (heat, cold, dust, wind).
- Ability to climb ladders, scaffolds, and structures, and work at heights exceeding 30 feet.
- Must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds regularly and occasionally heavier with assistance.
- Requires manual dexterity to handle tools, materials, and electrical components.
- Must be able to stand, walk, kneel, crouch, or walk for extended periods.
- Must follow all company safety policies and OSHA regulations without exception.
- Required to wear PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) as dictated by site safety requirements (hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, boots, high‑visibility clothing, etc.).
- Responsible for maintaining a safe work environment for all crew members.
- Must communicate effectively (verbal and written) with team members, supervisors, and clients.
- Expected to model professionalism, teamwork, and integrity at all times.
- Must adhere to company policies, including attendance, conduct, and ethics standards.
- Willingness to pursue further training or apprenticeship opportunities to advance within Kearney Electric.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and willingness to follow direction.
- Basic understanding of construction environments and safety practices.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
- Current First Aid/CPR certification preferred.
