A growing Arizona field service repair company is hiring a Senior Heavy Equipment Field Mechanic in Phoenix, AZ to diagnose and repair customer heavy equipment. Duties & Responsibilities Inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair heavy equipment, trucks, and related equipment in the field.
Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, engine, emissions, and powertrain systems.
Perform preventative maintenance, field repairs, component replacements, and equipment reconditioning.
Use diagnostic software such as Caterpillar ET, Cummins Insite, and similar platforms to identify issues and confirm repairs.
Identify equipment failures, determine root causes, and recommend repair solutions to keep equipment safe, reliable, and jobsite ready.
Communicate repair findings with customers and management, complete accurate service reports, and maintain company vehicles, tools, and equipment professionally.
Requirements
Required:
Minimum 5 years of hands-on heavy equipment diagnostic and repair experience this is not an entry-level role.
Experience repairing heavy equipment, trucks, and related equipment from brands such as Caterpillar, John Deere, Komatsu, Volvo, Case, Hitachi, or similar.
Strong troubleshooting experience with hydraulic, electrical, engine, emissions, mechanical, and powertrain systems.
Ability to use diagnostic software such as Caterpillar ET, Cummins Insite, and similar platforms.
Class B CDL, clean driving record, valid DOT Medical Card, and ability to complete required pre-employment screening.
Own and maintain required personal tools able to obtain and maintain MSHA certification with company-paid training.
Able to work independently in the field, communicate professionally in English, follow safety procedures, and provide quality customer service.
Phoenix metro area residency required, with ability to travel throughout Arizona, work occasional overnights, adapt to early start times, and work overtime as needed.#PJ1 Compensation:$40.00 – $75.00/hour starting pay based on previous experience, certifications, and training

Shifts:
Full-time, Monday through Friday Field technicians typically start between 4:00 AM and 5:00 AM to avoid Arizona heat and meet customer jobsite schedules
Daily start and end times may vary based on customer needs, jobsite location, and workload
Overtime is common and paid after 40 hours per week Voluntary weekend callout opportunities may be available for additional overtime
Must be able to work overtime as needed and adapt to changing field service schedules
