JOB SUMMARYThe Service Electrician Technician Certified Journeyman is a skilled and seasoned leader who can read and interpret drawings, assist with service & maintenance calls, troubleshoot, and provide solutions and repairs.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES- Electrical Code Knowledge: Understanding and applying current electrical principles, codes, regulations, and best practices, ensuring compliance and quality workmanship.
- Blueprint Interpretation: Reading electrical blueprints, engineered lighting control drawings, and related technical drawings to plan and execute accurate installations.
- Electrical System Installations: Performing skilled installations including switch gear, transformers, and panels, ensuring compliance with governing agencies and national codes.
- Lighting Controls: Installing and programming lighting controls while keeping drawings and codes in mind.
- Job Layout: Planning and coordinating layouts using reflected ceiling plans, laser, and conduit racks.
- Electrical Troubleshooting, Repairs & Maintenance: Diagnosing with testing devices, repairing issues, and implementing preventive maintenance.
- Team Leadership: Training, coaching, guiding apprentices and other team members to meet project expectations with quality and efficiency.
- Strong Communication
Skills:
Providing daily updates and professional communication with clients and supervisors. - Project, Material & Equipment Planning: Foreseeing, planning, and communicating material and equipment needs for upcoming work phases.
- Safety: Maintaining a safety‑first approach in compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and standards.
- Equipment Operation: Utilizing scissor lifts, boom lifts, and single‑man lifts as required.
- Other: Potential for additional duties and responsibilities in support of business needs.
- 5+ years of experience as a service electrician.
- OSHA 30 Certified is a plus.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to work in diverse environments and weather conditions, including confined spaces and heights.
- Hourly Range: $33.00 – $42.00
