The Crane Operator position is a vital part of the field operations team, responsible for operating and transporting a PTK
31 crane to support material handling and debris removal at various jobsites. This role offers the opportunity to work independently, coordinate directly with project management, and contribute to the success of diverse roofing projects.
- Operate the PTK
31 crane safely and efficiently for material handling, equipment loading, and debris removal at multiple jobsite locations. - Tow the PTK
31 crane to and from jobsites using a company-provided fleet vehicle. - Coordinate with project managers to schedule site visits and manage your own weekly work schedule based on project needs.
- Perform pre-operation inspections and routine maintenance checks on the crane and fleet vehicle to ensure safe operation.
- Follow all company, state, and federal safety protocols and DOT regulations.
- Assist with material staging and movement to support smooth field operations.
- Maintain accurate records of jobsite visits, crane usage, and any incidents or equipment issues.
- Represent Global Roofing Group professionally on job sites and communicate effectively with field crews and project teams.
- Experience operating cranes, preferably with PTK
31 or similar models. - Familiarity with towing trailers and operating vehicle-mounted crane systems.
- Ability to read and interpret load charts and follow lift plans safely.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to self-schedule based on project requirements.
- Physically able to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- OSHA 10/30 and NCCCO certification is a plus, or willingness to obtain.
