Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and motivated HVAC Foreman to lead our field installation. The HVAC Foreman is responsible for supervising journeyman technicians, apprentices, and helpers while ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This hands‑on leadership role requires strong technical expertise in HVAC systems combined with excellent people‑management and problem‑solving skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and lead a team of HVAC technicians, apprentices, and helpers on commercial or industrial projects.
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute the installation, maintenance, repair, and replacement of heating, ventilation, air‑conditioning, refrigeration, and related systems.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, technical drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate system layouts and installations.
  • Conduct daily safety briefings, job‑site inspections, and enforce company safety policies.
  • Monitor project progress, labor hours, and material usage; report status and any issues to the Project Manager.
  • Troubleshoot complex HVAC system problems and provide technical guidance to the team.
  • Coordinate with other trades, general contractors, engineers, and clients to maintain smooth project execution.
  • Perform quality control inspections and verify that installations meet design intent and customer expectations.
  • Mentor and train junior technicians and apprentices to develop their skills.
  • Maintain accurate daily reports, time sheets, inventory logs, and service records.
  • Manage equipment, tools, and vehicle maintenance for the crew.
  • Assist with estimating, ordering materials, and job costing when required.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Minimum 5–7 years of progressive experience in HVAC installation and service, with at least 2–3 years in a lead or foreman role.
  • Strong working knowledge of commercial HVAC systems, including ductwork, piping, VRF systems, and energy management systems.
  • Proven ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to pass background check and drug screening.
Preferred Skills & Attributes
  • Experience with new construction, tenant improvements, and service/repair work.
  • OSHA 10 or 30 certification; OSHA 30 preferred.
  • Welding, brazing, and pipe fitting experience.
  • Ability to use industry software.
  • Strong customer service orientation and problem‑solving mindset.
