Position: HVAC Technician 2

HVAC Technician Level 2

We are seeking an experienced and motivated HVAC Technician Level 2 to join our team.

What You Will Do:

  • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and corrective repairs on commercial HVAC systems, including air handlers, chillers, boilers, heat pumps, VAV systems, cooling towers, and related controls.
  • Respond to HVAC-related service calls and work orders, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
  • Support HVAC system readiness for games, concerts, and special events, including pre- and post-event inspections.
  • Inspect and replace air filters, belts, bearings, and other components.
  • Use diagnostic tools and meters to identify issues with equipment and controls; escalate complex issues to senior technicians or supervisors as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of work completed, parts used, and system performance logs.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols, lockout/tagout procedures, and compliance standards (e.g., EPA, OSHA).
  • Coordinate with other departments and vendors as needed during repairs or installations.
  • Provide general facilities support during event setup, live events, and teardown to ensure safe and efficient operations.
  • Assist with the placement of temporary infrastructure such as cable ramps, extension cords, and other event-related equipment.
  • Coordinate with Event Managers and other departments to fulfill setup requirements in areas such as locker rooms, suites, arena bowl, and areas covered in setup sheet.
  • Participate in pre-event walkthroughs to help identify and address any facility or logistical concerns.
  • Respond promptly to radio calls during events for support with facility issues, adjustments, or requests.
  • Help maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free environment in both public and back-of-house areas before, during, and after events.
  • Assist other Engineering team members or departments as needed to ensure successful event execution.

What We Need From Our HVAC Technician Level 2:

  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good communication and customer service skills
  • Strong working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and control systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and equipment manuals.
  • Comfortable working at heights, in tight spaces, and in various weather conditions.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, holidays, and event shifts.

Experience/

Education Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 3–5 years of experience in commercial HVAC systems.
  • EPA 608 Universal Certification.
