Maintenance Engineer III (Plumber) – Responsibilities
The Maintenance Engineer III (Plumber) is responsible for the maintenance of all buildings and equipment throughout the resort.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS- Respond to calls and complaints to correct temperature conditions in a positive, polite and timely manner.
- Monitor public space temperatures, making appropriate adjustments when necessary.
- Perform scheduled and non‑scheduled maintenance on HVAC and related equipment, including repairing mechanical parts, brazing, soldering, calibrating controls, and replacing pipe, fittings and other components.
- Maintain accurate records of preventive maintenance, repairs, and daily logs in English.
- Diagnose and analyze A/C problems; troubleshoot HVAC, refrigeration and electrical systems.
- Rebuild motors and troubleshoot refrigeration equipment.
- Perform plumbing maintenance: check valves, pressures, hot and cold water systems, sanitary sewer, storm drainage, gas piping, pumps, and valves.
- Repair and maintain public space and guest room plumbing fixtures, minimizing guest disruption and maintaining service standards.
- Ensure adherence to OSHA regulations, local plumbing codes, and hotel safety standards, including lockout/tagout procedures.
- Schedule workload effectively and prioritize plumbing repairs based on guest impact, operational needs, and emergencies.
- Work closely with vendors, contractors, and team members to ensure proper repair, maintenance, and installation while staying within budget.
- Schedule and complete preventative maintenance on plumbing systems, including sanitary drain lines, pumps, water heaters, backflow devices, and valves.
- Assist in monitoring water consumption, identifying leaks, and supporting water conservation efforts.
- Demonstrate commitment to eliminating or reducing the risk of injury, property damage, or operational disruption.
High school graduate or equivalent required.
EXPERIENCEAt least 2 years of experience as an HVAC mechanic, electrical, plumbing or related maintenance field in a complex facility.
LICENSES OR CERTIFICATESEPA Certification (Universal type preferred). AZ driver’s license.
COMPENSATIONCompensation packages are based on skill set, years and depth of experience, certifications and the specific location.
