Roof Inspector & Field Technician — Phoenix Metro

Salaried position: $35,000–$40,000/year + 10% commission on repair sales + CHM health care group plan + company truck

Simply Roofing (ROC #358508) is hiring a full-time Roof Inspector & Field Technician to inspect residential roofs across the Phoenix metro, document everything by our standard, perform minor repairs, and support active jobs in the field. You'll run a daily route of scheduled inspections — no cold knocking, no lead hunting — work independently, and earn commission on the repairs you sell and perform.

• Run a daily route of 5–7 scheduled roof inspections — addresses and appointment times are set for you from our marketing and land on your Google Calendar.
• Get on roofs (tile, shingle, and flat — drone on some two-story homes) and inspect to our documented SOP: full ground walk-around, every slope, every penetration and flashing, attic check when the homeowner allows it.
• Chalk-number every penetration and document the full photo set in Company Cam — wide shots, close-ups, every defect. If it isn't photographed, it didn't happen.
• Complete our website inspection form after every roof — it's the system of record for what you found.
• Brief the sales rep on your findings and hand off cleanly. The rep walks the homeowner through everything — you inspect, document, and keep post-inspection conversation with the homeowner to a minimum.

• Perform minor repairs on the spot when it makes sense: tile exchanges (cracked/broken tile replacement), tile gluing, mortar pack repair, tar spackling on cracks, debris removal.
• Earn 10% commission on repairs you sell
  — on top of your salary. Spot the issue, present the fix, close it, and get paid for it.

• Check on current jobs in progress and report status back to the office.
• Pick up materials for current jobs when needed.
• Pick up payments from customers for completed and in-progress jobs — and handle them by the book (photograph at pickup, deposit same day).

• Place yard signs at completed jobs and commercial signs at approved spots to attract customers.
• Leave door cards at homes near your inspections.
• Keep your assigned truck clean and presentable — it's a rolling billboard for the brand.

• Reliable and self-managing. You'll be on your own all day. Showing up on time, every day, is the single most important thing in this job.
• Trustworthy. You'll have a company truck and customer payments in your hands — we need someone we can count on completely.
• Safe and comfortable on roofs, including tile. You know how to walk a tile roof without breaking tiles (lower third of the tile, hips and valleys), and you take ladder setup and fall protection seriously. We never rush a roof in extreme heat.
• Detail-oriented documenter. Complete photos, numbered penetrations, and a finished inspection form on every roof — no shortcuts.
• Friendly and professional with homeowners. Branded shirt, booties indoors, respect for the property. You're the face of the company at the door.
• Clean driving record and a valid Arizona driver's license
  — you'll be driving our wrapped truck.
• Comfortable with a smartphone for Company Cam photos, texts, Google Calendar, and your daily schedule.

• Prior roofing, solar, pest-control, or home-services field experience.
• Hands-on tile repair experience.
• Drone experience (or willingness to get certified).
• Bilingual (English / Spanish).

• Salary: $35,000–$40,000/year
