Transplant Laborer

Job Summary

Moon Valley Nursery of Arizona (Retail, LLC DBA Moon Valley Nurseries) in Maricopa, AZ (Phoenix, AZ) seeks Transplant Laborers for 12 full‑time temporary positions from October 1, 2026 to March 31, 2027. This is a 40‑hour/week morning shift (6:00am – 2:30pm Monday‑Friday) with required Saturday work when necessary. Overtime will be paid based on weather and project needs. The employer will file H‑2B applications concurrently with USDOL.

Pay rate is $19.42 per hour ($29.13 overtime). Payout is bi‑weekly on Friday. A single workweek will be used to compute wages. Deductions required by law will be applied to the paycheck.

• Transplant trees or shrubs and install them onto customer properties.
• Extract trees or shrubs from the ground, care for the established root systems, prune roots, wrap root ball in burlap or pot, and tie tree branches to prepare for moving.
• Load and unload trees and shrubs, soil, mulch, hand tools, and landscaping materials.
• Dig holes, separate soils if necessary, install trees or shrubs, backfill holes, stake, and perform related landscaping duties such as raking, mulching, and watering.
• Lifting/carrying up to 50lbs. as required.

No education or experience required. On‑the‑job training will be provided.

• All tools, supplies, and equipment will be supplied by the employer at no cost.
• Daily transportation to/from the work site will be provided at no charge.
• Optional lodging and related facilities available to workers at no cost.
• Utilities may be provided free of charge in employer facilities.
• If the worker completes 50% of the employment contract period, the employer will reimburse transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work.
• Upon completion of the contract or earlier dismissal, the employer will cover reasonable return transportation and subsistence costs, except when the worker does not return due to subsequent employment.
• Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of $16.78 per day during travel, up to $68.00 per day with receipts.
• H‑2B workers will be reimbursed in the first work week for all visa processing, border crossing, and other related fees, excluding passport fees.
