The Field Service Technician is responsible for performing all critical functions to achieve On Time in Full Deliveries and Returns of Workforce Housing (WFH) Fleet and driving high levels of product quality. The Field Service Technician will also manage projects at our facilities and on customer's sites.
Key Accountabilities/Responsibilities
- Handle all duties essential to the readying, set up or returns of buildings, including cleaning buildings, readying for transport, securing all items for shipment.
- Responsible for selecting and managing subcontractors, which includes monitoring quality and safety compliance aspects.
- Maintain inventory and order material required to complete projects.
- Perform on and off rent inspections.
- Perform light service work on buildings, such as repairing toilets, adjusting locks and doors, or replacing a thermostat.
- Manage customer modifications.
- Complete work orders.
- Maintain the proper working condition of all tools and equipment used.
- Form and maintain good relationships with external and internal customers at all levels of the organization.
- Use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Follow ATCO Safety Rules
Required Qualifications/Education/Work Experience
- High School diploma or GED is preferred.
- Carpentry skills and a familiarity with the construction trades are a must.
- Modular Set-up and knockdown experience are preferred.
- Experience with customer relationship management is preferred.
- Previous management experience desired.
- Excellent communication skills are required for dealing with customers, salespeople, contractors, shop personnel and co-workers.
- Basic knowledge of Excel.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to lift 50 LBS.
- Travel is required.
- HVAC experience preferred

- This position will need to conduct a monthly inventory of the fleet in the yard. This work environment involves moderate exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises
- Additionally, in the yard environment, this position will involve some exposure to hazards or physical risks, which will require the following basic safety precautions and the ability to wear assigned and appropriate Personal Protection Equipment (PPE).
