Lumen Network Technician

Job Description

TEKsystems is partnering with an end‑client on a Network Transformation across 500+ locations. The project supports a variety of installation projects ranging from small sites of 5–10 users to larger office locations of over 1,000 users, and includes all infrastructure supporting each site. As network changes occur, there will be an increased need to support operations for over 40,000 employees across the State of Arizona.

The Network Refresh Technicians will install and deploy network equipment on site at State Agency locations. On a normal scheduled migration night, technicians coordinate and work with the Lumen Engineering teams and NOC to remove the existing equipment, install new equipment, turn up and test it to ensure functionality. Technicians keep documentation on the installation and communicate effectively with project managers and the NOC team to ensure a smooth cutover.

• Travel flexibly and work primarily off‑hours for cutovers.

• CCNA strongly preferred or equivalent.
• 1+ year of experience in configuration and installation of Cisco network equipment in live network environments (LAN/WAN/Wireless).
• Strong knowledge of Cisco IOS command line.
• Knowledge of Meraki Wireless is a nice to have.
• Professionalism and excellent communication skills; customer‑facing role with State of Arizona agency employees.
• Flexibility to travel and work off‑hours.
