AIMS Companies is seeking motivated, dependable, and safety-focused Industrial Labor Techs to join our Mining Division in Arizona. This is a full-time position supporting mining operations throughout Phoenix and the surrounding areas.

As an Industrial Labor Tech, you will assist with the safe operation and maintenance of vacuum and hydro excavation equipment while supporting a variety of industrial and mining projects. This role requires a strong work ethic, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work in physically demanding environments.

Essential

Job Duties
  • Assist in the operation and proper maintenance of vacuum and hydro excavation trucks.
  • Move debris using shovels and other hand tools.
  • Crawl, kneel, and work in confined spaces and restricted access areas.
  • Lift and remove manhole covers.
  • Pick up, sort, transport, and deliver materials and inventory.
  • Work safely around heavy equipment and industrial machinery.
  • Perform work in environments that may include exposure to biohazards such as sewage and blood-borne pathogens.
  • Assist with hydrovac operations in a variety of work environments, including confined spaces.
  • Perform routine inspections and minor maintenance on hydrovac equipment.
  • Prepare work areas by implementing safety measures and identifying potential hazards.
  • Maintain equipment cleanliness, both inside and out.
  • Complete required paperwork, service tickets, inspection forms, and other documentation.
  • Attend required safety meetings and training.
  • Follow all company policies and procedures.
  • Comply with all MSHA safety standards and company safety requirements.
  • Follow all applicable local, state, and federal DOT regulations while assisting in the operation of company vehicles and equipment.
  • Maintain effective communication with supervisors, coworkers, and customers.
  • Work as part of a two-person crew with regular and dependable attendance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support operational needs.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Ability to operate required tools and equipment or the ability to learn.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with confined space entry.
  • Knowledge of hydrovac operations, sewer line cleaning, or industrial services.
  • Construction or mining safety experience.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Good problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Work Environment

This position is performed primarily outdoors in a variety of weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and other environmental elements. Employees may be exposed to chemicals, industrial equipment, dust, and other workplace hazards.

The position requires the ability to:

  • Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including hard hats, safety glasses, hearing protection, and other safety gear.
  • Stand, walk, bend, twist, climb stairs, kneel, crouch, and sit for extended periods.
  • Perform physically demanding tasks throughout the workday.
  • Travel to job sites during the workweek, with occasional overnight travel depending on project requirements.
