The expected ENTRY pay range for this position based on experience and equity within the Judicial Branch is $21.75 to $24.94.This position is non-exempt under the FLSA.

800 Superior Court About the Position The Trades Generalist performs a variety of semi-skilled repair and trades tasks related to facility maintenance, modification services, breaking down, reinstallation of office furnishings, and provides general maintenance and repair of court facilities and equipment, while providing excellent customer service to judicial staff.

Position Qualifications We recognize your time is valuable, so please apply if you meet the following required qualifications :

Education:

High School diploma or GED

Experience:

Two (2) years’ experience involving a variety of repair and maintenance tasks to include semi-skilled trades.

Three (3) years’ experience breaking down, reinstallation of office furnishings.

OR Combined education and experience qualifications:

An equivalent combination of post-secondary education and/or experience may substitute for the minimum qualifications on a year for year basis.

Other Requirements:

Must possess or have the ability to obtain a valid Arizona Driver’s License at the time of hire.

Our Preferred Candidate has:

Five (5) years of experience breaking down, reinstallation of office furnishings within a large commercial, industrial, or institutional environment.

Knowledge, skills, and abilities:

Knowledge of:

Methods, practices, tools and materials used in a variety of trades, maintenance and repair work Occupational hazards and safety precautions

The principles and practices used in maintenance and repair

Skill in:

Operation of various tools, equipment and vehicles necessary in performing assignments

Understanding and following instructions, sketches and maps Understanding of breaking down, reinstallation of office furnishings

Completing simple records and reports

Both oral and written communication

Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships

Ability to:

Lift and maneuver necessary equipment and tools

Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
