Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented, and dependable Lead Landscaper to oversee our daily grounds operations. In this role, you will lead a dedicated crew, maintain high standards of quality, and perform hands-on landscape installation and commercial maintenance. The ideal candidate has extensive industry experience, strong crew leadership skills, and deep technical knowledge in commercial irrigation management, tree care, and overall grounds maintenance.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Crew Management Lead, motivate, and direct daily operations for a landscape crew on commercial and residential properties.
Ensure all work is completed efficiently, on schedule, and to very high quality standards.
Enforce safety protocols, proper tool usage, and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) compliance.
Train crew members on best practices, equipment operation, and safety procedures.
Irrigation & Technical Care Perform regular inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs on commercial irrigation systems (timers, valves, backflows, drip systems, and mainlines).Adjust watering schedules seasonally to optimize plant health and conserve water.
Grounds Maintenance & Plant Health Perform precise, structural tree trimming and waste removal following industry safety standards.
Execute proper bush and shrub pruning techniques according to plant species and season.
Oversee the seasonal preparation, planting, and maintenance of annuals, perennials, and shrubs.
Maintain and execute an annual schedule for over seeding, aerating and fertilization for all grass areas.
Operate heavy-duty power equipment, including commercial mowers, weed eaters, line trimmers, artificial turf groomers and backpack/walk-behind blowers for site cleanup.
Perform high-pressure power washing on hardscapes, walkways, retaining walls, and building exteriors.

Qualifications & Requirements:
Experience:
Minimum [3–5+] years of hands-on professional landscaping experience, with at least [1–2] years in a supervisor or crew lead capacity.
Irrigation Expertise:
Demonstrated knowledge of commercial irrigation troubleshooting, timer programming, and piping/valve repairs.
Horticultural Knowledge:
Strong understanding of local plant material, tree structure, proper pruning techniques, and seasonal flower care.
Equipment Proficiency:
Skilled in operating and maintaining commercial-grade mowers, trimmers, pressure washers, blowers, and hand tools.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to work outdoors in variable weather conditions, lift up to 50+ lbs regularly, and perform manual labor throughout the shift.
Driver’s License:
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (ability to tow and back up equipment trailers).
Preferred Qualifications:
Bilingual in English and Spanish is a strong plus.
Commercial Irrigation or Arborist certifications.
Experience with pesticide/fertilizer application and licensing.
