IMCOR has immediate full-time openings for experienced commercial/industrial Shop Pipe Welder / Pipe Fitter
. This position works in a welding and fabrication shop environment and is not anticipated to perform field work. The role includes both welding and pipe fit-up/preparation responsibilities and is not exclusively a welding position.
- Read and interpret blueprints, spool drawings, and welding process specifications.
- Measure, fit up, cut, bevel, prep, and align carbon steel pipe for welding.
- Perform carbon steel pipe welding, including 6G work, using applicable ARC/SMAW processes.
- Perform TIG welding when qualified; TIG welding ability or certification is preferred but not required.
- Safely operate a warehouse forklift and overhead crane to move pipe, materials, and fabricated assemblies.
- Maintain quality standards, safe work practices, and an organized shop work area.
- Complete other shop and fabrication duties as assigned.
- Minimum 3-5 years of commercial or industrial pipe welding and/or pipe fitting experience.
- Current 6G carbon steel pipe certification or the ability to successfully certify through IMCOR.
- Demonstrated ability to fit up and prepare steel pipe for welding is required.
- Ability to operate a warehouse forklift and overhead crane; current certifications are preferred but not required.
- TIG welding ability or certification is a plus, but is not required.
- Must successfully complete a pre-employment weld test and provide any current welding certifications.
