Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and technically skilled Electronic Security Field Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be at the forefront of designing, installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting advanced electronic security systems across diverse client sites. Your expertise will ensure the safety and security of facilities by implementing cutting-edge solutions such as CCTV, alarm systems, access control, sensors, and surveillance technology.
This position offers an exciting opportunity to work hands-on with state-art equipment, collaborate with clients, and deliver exceptional service that enhances security infrastructure.
This role will require up to 75% travel throughout the Southwest region for a large ongoing project at the border wall
Responsibiliti- es Install, configure, and commission electronic security systems including CCTV cameras, intrusion detection systems (IDS), access control panels, and surveillance equipmen
- t.Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshooting of low voltage electrical systems, cabling networks, sensors, and related hardware to ensure optimal operatio
- n.Interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals to accurately install and repair complex security system component
- s.Utilize hand tools and power tools safely to perform system upgrades or repairs on construction sites or existing facilitie
- s.Provide on-site service support by diagnosing issues with computer networking, telecommunication lines, remote access software, and system design flaw
- s.Collaborate with clients to understand their security needs; assist in alarm system sales by explaining features and benefits of various solution
- s.Document all service activities thoroughly through detailed reports, logs, and incident documentation for future reference and compliance purpose
- ns4+ years of electronic security system installation experience in new construction environment
- s.Proven experience as a service technician or field engineer specializing in electronic security system
- s.Strong mechanical knowledge combined with electrical experience to handle installation and troubleshooting tasks effectivel
- y.Familiarity with computer networking concepts, low voltage wiring practices, schematics interpretation, and system design principle
- s.Hands-on experience working with CCTV cameras, sensors (motion detectors), fire alarm systems, access control devices, and surveillance technolog
- y.Ability to use hand tools such as screwdrivers, wire strippers, crimpers as well as power tools like drills and saws safely and efficientl
- y.Knowledge of NEC (National Electrical Code) standards relevant to low voltage wiring and electrical safety protocol
- s.Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose issues remotely via access software or on-site inspection
- s.Construction experience or familiarity with building processes is a plus; locksmithing skills are advantageous but not require
