The Welder role is a full-time, on-site position based in Phoenix, AZ. The Welder will perform daily welding tasks on structural steel, carport systems, and related metal components using various welding processes to meet project specifications and safety standards. Responsibilities include reading and interpreting drawings, measuring and cutting materials, fitting and assembling metal parts, and performing quality checks on completed welds.
The role involves maintaining welding equipment, following safety procedures, and collaborating with fabricators, installers, and supervisors to complete projects on schedule. The Welder may also assist with repairs, modifications, and installation work at job sites and in the shop as needed.
- Candidates should possess strong welding skills, including Welding, Arc Welding, MIG Welding, and TIG Welding.
- Candidates should possess knowledge of Materials used in structural steel, carport systems, and metal fabrication.
- Experience reading blueprints and fabrication drawings, and using measuring tools accurately.
- Proven ability to follow safety protocols, use PPE, and work in outdoor and shop environments.
- Prior experience in structural steel, commercial construction, or metal fabrication is preferred.
- Relevant welding certifications (e.g., AWS or equivalent) and the ability to pass a welding test on-site.
- Reliable transportation to Phoenix, AZ job sites and the ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
