The A&P Aircraft Mechanic is responsible for performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on flight school aircraft while ensuring all work is completed in accordance with company procedures and applicable FAA regulations.
Responsibilities:- Perform scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance.
- Troubleshoot, inspect, repair, and maintain aircraft.
- Perform maintenance in accordance with FAA regulations and company procedures.
- Read and interpret maintenance manuals, engineering drawings, parts catalogs, service bulletins, and airworthiness directives.
- Make aircraft airworthiness decisions.
- Release aircraft for return to service.
- Maintain clean and organized work areas.
- Work flexible shifts as needed.
- Utilize Microsoft Office and learn the Talon RMS maintenance program.
- Work independently while managing workflow and changing priorities.
- Ensure compliance with FAA Title 14 Parts 43 and 91.
- Must be able to obtain FAA Inspection Authorization (IA) within three months of hire.
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Minimum 3 recent and consecutive years of General Aviation experience as a certificated A&P Mechanic.
- Piper aircraft experience preferred.
- Garmin G1000 experience is a plus.
- Aircraft maintenance experience preferred.
- Hands on experience troubleshooting, inspecting, repairing, and performing scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance in accordance with FAA regulations and company procedures.
- Ability to read and interpret maintenance manuals, engineering drawings, parts catalogs, service bulletins, and airworthiness directives with working knowledge of FAA Title 14 Parts 43 and 91.
- Experience making aircraft logbook entries, releasing aircraft for return to service, making airworthiness decisions, and working independently while managing workflow and priorities.
Skills:
- Piper aircraft experience preferred.
- Garmin G1000 experience is a plus.
- Aircraft maintenance experience preferred.
