Overview
The General Laborer – AMHS Electrical provides essential support to electrical and AMHS (Automated Material Handling Systems) installation activities within a semiconductor fabrication facility. This role focuses on jobsite safety, material handling, lift spotting, housekeeping, and assisting skilled technicians to ensure efficient and safe electrical work in a cleanroom and sub‑fab environment.

ResponsibilitiesKey Responsibilities
- Spot and assist lift operations (scissor lifts, boom lifts, forklifts) to ensure safe movement and positioning around equipment, ceiling utilities, and personnel
- Perform general cleanup of work areas, including removal of debris, packaging, scrap materials, and excess supplies, while maintaining fab cleanliness standards
- Move, stage, and organize materials such as conduit, cable trays, hardware, fasteners, and electrical supplies
- Assist AMHS electrical technicians with:
Setting up work areas and tools;
Holding materials in place during installation;
Tracking and restocking materials as needed to maintain workflow - Follow all fab protocols, safety rules, PPE requirements, and cleanroom procedures
- Maintain clear walkways, access paths, and emergency egress routes
- Support coordination between trades by communicating hazards, lift movements, and material needs
- Perform basic hand‑tool usage under supervision
- Complete other general labor tasks as assigned to support project completion
- Actively monitor work areas for hazards and immediately report unsafe conditions
- Maintain constant awareness while spotting lifts or overhead work
- Comply with all site‑specific safety training, permits, and procedures
- Help reduce risk of damage to tools, equipment, and AMHS components
Required Qualifications
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
- Familiarity with construction or industrial jobsite environments
- Basic understanding of jobsite safety practices
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
- Willingness to work in cleanroom and sub‑fab environments
- Previous experience in a semiconductor fab or industrial facility
- Experience spotting for aerial lifts or forklifts
- Basic knowledge of electrical materials or AMHS systems
- OSHA 10 or equivalent safety training
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift materials up to 50 lbs
- Ability to work at heights while spotting or assisting lift operations
- Comfortable working in confined spaces and overhead environments
- Ability to wear required PPE for extended periods
