Built-Up Commercial Roofing Technician

Progressive Roofing is seeking a Built-Up Commercial Roofing Technician to join our Construction team. In this hands-on role, you'll install, repair, and maintain built-up and commercial roofing systems on industrial, institutional, retail, and government facilities. You'll work safely at heights, operate roofing tools and equipment, and follow project plans and specifications. Our culture emphasizes safety, teamwork, accountability, and craftsmanship. Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and maintain built-up and related commercial roofing systems
• Safely perform tear-offs, surface preparation, and roof cleaning
• Apply roofing materials (felts, asphalt, insulation, cap sheets) per specifications
• Install flashings, penetrations, and waterproofing details to ensure watertight roofs
• Use hand and power tools, torches, and hot-mop equipment safely and correctly
• Follow all OSHA, company, and site-specific safety policies and procedures
• Assist foreman with layout, measurements, and material handling on the roof
• Inspect work areas, identify potential leaks or issues, and report conditions to supervisors
• Maintain clean, organized job sites and properly dispose of roofing debris
• Participate in ongoing training and support a culture of teamwork, accountability, and craftsmanship
