Job SummaryAs a Building Maintenance Worker at Chase Field, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operations of all facilities within the stadium.
Responsibilities- Repair and maintain concession stand equipment, including ovens, grills, fryers, refrigerators, freezers, and beverage dispensers.
- Make adjustments and repairs to heating, refrigeration, plumbing, and electrical systems.
- Conduct regular inspections and troubleshoot issues related to refrigeration, plumbing, and electrical systems throughout the stadium.
- Communicate with managers and teams about the need for major repairs or additions to building operating systems.
- Requisition supplies and equipment for repairs and maintenance.
- Monitor, address, and/or escalate any plumbing, electrical, refrigeration, and other issues that arise to the director of Facilities.
- Maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment and coordinate ordering as needed.
- Follow safety sanitation protocols and regulations to ensure a secure and safe working environment for self and team members.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must possess a technician’s certificate in HVAC, including the EPA Section 608 certification, and certifications required by State and local jurisdictions.
- Successful completion of a four‑year apprenticeship program in an approved HVAC program and/or 3 years of proven experience as an HVAC technician.
- Previous experience in facilities maintenance within a stadium or similar large‑scale venue preferred.
- Previous experience and knowledge of electrical and plumbing.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, troubleshooting and repairs; familiarity with culinary equipment and food service operations.
- Event‑based scheduling, flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Frequent lifting and transporting up to 60 lbs.
- Frequent bending, stooping, reaching.
- Physical stamina and dexterity to perform tasks that may involve lifting, climbing, and operating machinery.
- Frequent and/or constant standing and walking.
- Environmental exposure includes dust, chemicals, allergens, outdoor weather elements, HVAC, and potential electrical hazards associated with stadium environment.
