Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Master Electrician with a strong background in data center construction, commissioning, and mission-critical infrastructure. This individual will lead electrical installations, oversee field teams, ensure compliance with electrical codes and safety standards, and support the successful delivery of complex data center projects.
The ideal candidate has extensive experience with medium- and low-voltage power distribution systems, switch gear, generators, UPS systems, and mission-critical electrical environments where uptime and reliability are essential.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and supervise electrical installation activities on data center construction projects.
- Interpret electrical drawings, specifications, and project plans.
- Medium- and low-voltage power distribution systems
- Switchgear and switchboards
- Transformers
- UPS systems
- Backup generators
- Grounding and bonding systems
- Lighting and branch power systems
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, commissioning teams, and subcontractors.
- Ensure compliance with NEC, local electrical codes, OSHA regulations, and company safety standards.
- Perform quality control inspections and troubleshoot electrical systems.
- Support startup, testing, commissioning, and energization activities.
- Mentor and supervise journeyman electricians, apprentices, and electrical foremen.
- Maintain project schedules and ensure work is completed on time and within budget.
- Current Master Electrician License (state or local jurisdiction as applicable).
- 8+ years of commercial or industrial electrical experience.
- 3+ years of experience supporting data center, mission‑critical, or large‑scale industrial projects.
- Strong knowledge of NEC and electrical safety regulations.
- Experience working with medium‑voltage systems, switch gear, generators, UPS systems, and critical power infrastructure.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, one‑line diagrams, and specifications.
- OSHA 30 certification or willingness to obtain.
- Ability to travel as required.
- Data center construction experience with hyperscale or colocation facilities.
- Experience supporting commissioning and turnover activities.
- NFPA 70E certification.
- Medium‑voltage switching and maintenance experience.
- Experience leading electrical crews on projects exceeding $10M in value.
- Familiarity with mission‑critical environments requiring high reliability and uptime.

Active construction sites and mission‑critical facilities. Must be able to work extended hours, weekends, and travel as project needs require. Must be able to lift equipment, climb ladders, and work in industrial environments.
Preferred Industry ExperienceCandidates with experience supporting hyperscale, colocation, cloud, AI, telecommunications, healthcare, semiconductor, or other mission‑critical infrastructure projects are strongly encouraged to apply.
