The Agriculture and Foreign Labor Specialist works with Arizona's Department of Economic Security to administer Foreign Labor Certification and temporary agricultural worker programs (H-2A and H-2B) under U.S. Department of Labor oversight. The role involves statewide outreach, housing inspections, field visits, employer meetings, prevailing wage surveys, and complaint handling to support migrant and seasonal farm workers. The position requires travel throughout Arizona including rural and remote areas, and is based with the Division of Employment and Rehabilitation Services in Phoenix.
Keyqualifications
- Two years of experience working with Agricultural Foreign Labor
- Spanish/English proficiency required
- Knowledge of Federal and State laws, regulations, and Department of Labor procedures
- Strong customer service, teamwork, and interpersonal communication skills including de-escalation
- Ability to travel statewide and work in rural, remote areas with extreme temperatures
- Current, valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
