HVAC Install Lead

Scottsdale Air is seeking an experienced HVAC Install Lead to oversee residential and light commercial equipment installations in our HVAC wholesale-focused operation. This hands-on role leads install crews, coordinates with warehouse and sales teams, verifies load calculations, and ensures code-compliant, high quality work. Responsibilities include start ups, charging and testing systems, documenting install details, and training apprentices. The Install Lead will interface with customers on-site, troubleshoot issues, uphold safety standards, and help improve install processes to support our growing, service oriented team.

Responsibilities

• Lead HVAC install crews on residential and light commercial projects
• Coordinate daily install schedules with warehouse, dispatch, and sales teams
• Perform equipment change-outs, new installs, start-ups, and system commissioning
• Verify load calculations, equipment sizing, and duct layouts from plans
• Ensure all installations meet local code, manufacturer specs, and company standards
• Troubleshoot installation-related issues and resolve on-site problems
• Train and mentor apprentices and junior installers on best practices
• Complete job documentation, startup sheets, and material usage reports
• Communicate professionally with customers and address on-site questions
• Enforce safety policies and maintain a clean, organized jobsite
