Alamon Inc. is seeking a Tower Technician Level 1 in Phoenix, AZ to support telecommunications infrastructure projects. Working in small, mobile crews, you'll climb and work on wireless towers to install, maintain, and upgrade antennas, radios, and cabling. This field role is safety-driven, with extensive training, daily safety meetings, and strict use of PPE and fall protection. You'll travel to diverse job sites, assist with rigging and testing, document work with reports and photos, and help deliver reliable networks for telecom, utility, and energy customers nationwide.
Responsibilities
- Climb and work on wireless towers to install, maintain, and repair telecommunications equipment and cabling
- Assemble, mount, and align antennas, radios, and related hardware per construction drawings and specs
- Perform rigging, hoisting, and lowering of tools and materials following strict safety procedures
- Conduct basic testing, troubleshooting, and documentation of tower and ground-based equipment
- Inspect tower structures and components, reporting defects, hazards, and maintenance needs
- Maintain tools, vehicles, and PPE, ensuring readiness, cleanliness, and compliance with safety standards
- Travel to various regional and national job sites, sometimes for extended periods
- Work closely with crew lead and teammates to complete projects on time and to customer quality standards
- Follow all OSHA, RF safety, and company safety protocols, participating in regular safety meetings and drills
- Complete daily paperwork, photos, and site reports using mobile apps or company systems
Required Skills
- Tower climbing and fall protection use
- Basic RF and wireless equipment installation
- Antenna and radio mounting and alignment
- Rigging and hoisting techniques
- Coax and fiber routing, weatherproofing, and terminations
- Use of hand and power tools for construction work
- Basic test equipment use (e.g., multimeter, sweep support)

- Jobsite safety and OSHA/EM 385 awareness
- Field documentation and mobile reporting tools
