Alamon Inc. is seeking a Tower Technician Level 2 to support telecommunications infrastructure projects nationwide. Working in small, mobile crews, you will climb and work on towers and rooftops to install, upgrade, and maintain antennas, lines, and related equipment. Responsibilities include running and testing coax and fiber, performing tower inspections, and accurately documenting work. You'll follow strict safety and fall protection procedures, travel frequently, and contribute to a professional, field-focused team that values training, reliability, and long-term customer relationships.
Responsibilities
- Climb and work on communication towers to install, upgrade, and maintain antennas, lines, and related equipment
- Perform tower, rooftop, and structural inspections following company and customer standards
- Run, weatherproof, label, and test coax, fiber, and RF components using appropriate test gear
- Interpret construction drawings, RF data sheets, and site plans to complete builds to spec
- Operate and maintain hand tools, power tools, and rigging equipment safely and correctly
- Follow all safety protocols including 100% tie-off, fall protection, and rescue procedures
- Document work with photos, reports, and test results using mobile and computer-based systems
- Travel with small field crews to regional and nationwide project sites as needed
- Communicate professionally with foremen, project managers, and customers on job status
- Assist in training and mentoring less experienced tower hands in safe, quality work practices
Required Skills
- Tower climbing and fall protection

- Coax and fiber routing and termination
- Use of RF and fiber test equipment (e.g., sweep, OTDR)
- Rigging and hoisting techniques
- Reading construction drawings and site plans
- Basic electrical and grounding practices
- Use of hand and power tools
- Job documentation and reporting (photos, forms, apps)
- Safe operation of trucks and lifting equipment
