Traffic Control Technician II

Road Safe Traffic Systems is seeking a Traffic Control Technician II to support construction and utility projects by safely setting up, monitoring, and removing work zone traffic control. You will deploy cones, signs, arrow boards, and barricades according to traffic control plans, direct traffic as needed, and ensure compliance with MUTCD and company safety standards. This hands-on field role requires regular lifting, driving company vehicles, working in all weather, and clear communication with crews and the public.

Responsibilities

• Set up, maintain, and remove traffic control devices for construction and utility work zones
• Follow traffic control plans and MUTCD standards to ensure safe traffic flow
• Operate company vehicles and transport cones, signs, and related equipment
• Perform flagging operations and communicate clearly with motorists and crew members
• Inspect and maintain traffic control equipment, reporting defects or damage
• Monitor work zones, adjust setups as needed, and respond to changing conditions
• Complete required reports and documentation accurately and on time
• Adhere to all company and OSHA safety policies and participate in safety meetings
