Position Summary

The Preventive Maintenance (PM) Technician is responsible for ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of production and electronic test equipment through scheduled preventive maintenance. Working closely with the Test Support Engineering and Production teams, this role coordinates maintenance activities to maximize equipment uptime, minimize production disruptions, and maintain accurate maintenance records. The technician performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), while working independently to support overall equipment reliability and operational efficiency.

What You Will Do:

  • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on production and electronic test equipment in accordance with established maintenance procedures.
  • Coordinate preventive maintenance schedules with the Production team to ensure equipment availability while minimizing production interruptions.
  • Work closely with the Test Support Engineering team to support maintenance activities, equipment reliability, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Perform equipment inspections to identify wear, damage, or potential failures before they impact production.
  • Execute Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures in compliance with company safety policies and OSHA requirements prior to servicing equipment.
  • Apply basic electrical knowledge to safely perform maintenance activities and reduce the risk of electrical shock or equipment damage.
  • Replace approved wear items and perform routine servicing as specified in preventive maintenance procedures.
  • Identify equipment deficiencies and communicate findings to Test Support Engineering for corrective action when necessary.
  • Verify equipment functionality following preventive maintenance activities and return equipment to operational status.
  • Maintain accurate preventive maintenance records and update maintenance activities within the company database or computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
  • Ensure all maintenance documentation is completed accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Maintain tools, work areas, and maintenance equipment in a clean, organized, and safe condition.
  • Follow company safety policies, quality standards, and established maintenance procedures.
  • Support equipment improvement projects and perform additional duties as assigned.

What You Will Bring:

  • Minimum of 5 years of technical experience in equipment maintenance, electronics, manufacturing, industrial maintenance, or a related technical field.
  • Basic electrical knowledge with the ability to recognize electrical hazards and safely work around energized equipment in accordance with established procedures.
  • Experience performing preventive maintenance on production or electronic test equipment.
  • Knowledge of Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures and safe work practices.
