Installation, Repair, and Tower Technician Role Overview
- Installs, maintains, repairs, and troubleshoots fixed wireless, Wi‑Fi, fiber‑optic, and related network equipment at customer premises and tower sites. Safely works from ladders, rooftops, poles, towers, and aerial‑lift equipment; documents completed work; and communicates service conditions to customers, schedulers, engineers, and operations teams. Participates in assigned travel and on‑call coverage throughout the Arizona service area. Must be able to travel for training.
- Travel to customer and network sites to install, repair, and troubleshoot fixed wireless, Wi‑Fi, fiber‑optic and related equipment.
- Mount and align antennas; run, terminate, and secure cable; and verify signal quality and service performance.
- Configure or assist engineers with routers, switches, radios, UPS units, computers, and remote‑management tools.
- Diagnose RF, cabling, power, and IP network issues; restore service or elevate complex conditions.
- Install and maintain equipment on rooftops, poles, towers, cabinets, and other elevated structures.
- Operate ladders, hand and power tools, aerial bucket trucks, lifts, and digger/boom equipment when trained and authorized.
- Complete accurate work orders, photographs, equipment locations, radio frequencies, test results, and customer concerns.
- Communicate outages, service disruptions, recurring complaints, safety hazards, and scheduling changes promptly.
- Participate in assigned after‑hours and weekend on‑call rotations.
- Follow OSHA requirements, fall‑protection practices, traffic rules, and company safety procedures.

- High school diploma or equivalent, or comparable practical experience.
- Valid driver license and acceptable driving record; ability to obtain any required commercial driver license within six months of hire.
- Ability to complete tower‑climbing, fall‑protection, aerial‑lift, equipment‑operation, and company safety training.
- Basic knowledge of computers, mobile applications, routers, structured cabling, IP networking, and RF concepts; intermediate knowledge is preferred.
- Safe use of hand and power tools, with strong troubleshooting, documentation, customer‑service, and critical‑thinking skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively, communicate professionally, and adapt to changing schedules and field conditions.
- One year of WISP, telecommunications, cable, satellite, structured‑cabling, or related field experience is preferred.
- Ability to travel to job sites and participate in assigned on‑call rotations.

- Regularly climb ladders, wood and steel poles, and towers; work on rooftops and in crawl spaces; and use fall‑protection systems and aerial lifts.
- Frequently lift, carry, push, or move objects up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift or move objects up to70 pounds.
- Regularly drive and travel between customer, warehouse, office, and tower locations; sitting or standing may occur for extended periods.
- Vision and hearing abilities must support safe job performance, equipment operation, reading instructions and safety information, and effective communication.
