The Journeyman Electrician is a fully licensed tradesperson responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems per NEC, Arizona Electrical Code, and company standards. Journeymen ensure safety, quality, and efficiency while mentoring Apprentices and coordinating with other trades.
Key Responsibilities- Install, terminate, test, and troubleshoot feeders, raceways, panels, lighting, and controls.
- Read and interpret blueprints, single-line diagrams, and specifications.
- Record time in QBO Time
; enter daily notes, progress, and inspection updates in Procore
. - Conduct torque, continuity, and insulation-resistance testing, document results.
- Maintain first-pass quality and adherence to NEC and ROC C-11 standards.
- Mentor Apprentices and assist with on-the-job training per state-registered program.
- Participate in jobsite safety meetings; maintain ADOSH compliance.
- Coordinate with Foremen, Leads, and other trades to ensure schedule adherence.
- Maintain calibrated tools and testing instruments, report defects immediately.
- Licensed Journeyman Electrician (Arizona ROC recognized).
- 5+ years of electrical construction experience.
- Knowledge of NEC (2023 Arizona edition) and local amendments.
- Ability to interpret and execute work from drawings and specifications.
- Proficient in Procore and QBO Time
; Service Fusion experience preferred. - OSHA 30-Hour and current ADOSH training preferred.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs., climb ladders, operate specialized construction tools/equipment and perfom work in active construction environments.
- Calibrated torque wrenches, multimeters, meggers, and GFCI-protected power tools.
- Awareness of NECA installation standards and torque verification policy.
Active Arizona construction environments may include heights, confined spaces, and exposure to heat. Adherence to company PPE policy required.
