A well-known manufacturing company specializing in residential and commercial heating, cooling, and refrigeration products is seeking a Technical Support Specialist – Electrical & Water Heating
.
This temporary position offers the opportunity to become a permanent employee based on performance and is an excellent fit for a Maintenance Technician or other skilled technical professional who wants to take their existing troubleshooting experience into a remote, customer-facing technical support role
.
The Technical Support Specialist – Electrical & Water Heating will use their previous hands-on maintenance and troubleshooting experience to assist customers over the phone and virtually with diagnosing and troubleshooting water heating equipment
. The company will provide training on its products, and this individual will provide technical assistance to customers, contractors, and service professionals experiencing product operation, service, and installation issues.
To be considered, candidates must have at least 1 year of previous Maintenance Technician experience
, with a strong understanding of mechanical and/or electrical troubleshooting and the ability to diagnose equipment issues. Candidates must be comfortable reading, writing, and comprehending technical instructions, manuals, and product information, as well as confidently communicating technical information to customers over the phone.
Previous experience troubleshooting water heaters, HVAC equipment, boilers, pumps, or other mechanical/electrical equipment is highly preferred.
This is NOT a physical maintenance or field position. This is a great opportunity to take the technical knowledge and troubleshooting skills you have built in the field and transition into a fully remote, customer-facing technical support environment
. Instead of traveling to job sites or performing hands-on repairs, you will help customers, contractors, and service professionals troubleshoot equipment remotely by phone and virtually from the comfort of your home.
