An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Field Electrical Technician to join a growing business specialising in power electronics and high-power electrical systems.
This is a hands-on, field-based role involving the maintenance, servicing, testing and commissioning of complex electrical equipment at customer sites across the US.
Key Responsibilities:- Carry out maintenance, servicing, testing and calibration of high-power electrical equipment.
- Support installation and commissioning activities at customer sites.
- Assist with fault finding, troubleshooting and component replacement.
- Use electrical test equipment and meters safely and effectively.
- Assist with the servicing and installation of large electrical equipment and battery systems.
- Complete service reports and customer documentation.
- Work alongside experienced engineers and technicians, developing towards independent field work.
- Travel extensively across the US and work away from home when required.
- Electrical, engineering, military or technical background.
- Good understanding of electrical principles and practical hands-on experience.
- Comfortable working with high-power electrical equipment.
- Experience using electrical test equipment.
- Strong willingness to learn and develop.
- Reliable, hardworking and safety-conscious.
- Comfortable with extensive travel and working away from home.
- UPS experience is beneficial but not essential.
This role would suit someone from an electrical maintenance, industrial, military, generator, switch gear or similar technical background who is looking to develop their career within power electronics and high-power electrical systems.
