Sheet Metal Journeyman

Full-Time | Monday-Friday | Phoenix, AZ | Pay DOE

Midstate Mechanical LLC is looking for an experienced Sheet Metal Journeyman to join our growing Commercial HVAC team. If you take pride in your craftsmanship, can read the prints, perform layout, and install commercial HVAC systems with limited supervision, we want to talk to you.

• Fabricate, assemble, and install commercial sheet metal ductwork and HVAC components.
• Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, submittals, and project documents.
• Perform layout and installation of HVAC mechanical systems.
• Operate shears, brakes, welders, and other sheet metal fabrication equipment.
• Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs as required.
• Work with Foremen, Project Managers, and other trades to keep projects moving.
• Follow OSHA requirements and Midstate safety standards.
• Track materials and completed work.
• Help train and mentor apprentices and junior mechanics.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe jobsite.

• 5 years proven commercial HVAC sheet metal experience as a Journeyman .
• Strong hands-on experience with sheet metal fabrication, installation, and repair.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints, mechanical drawings, submittals, and shop drawings.
• Ability to perform layout and installation with limited supervision.
• Experience using sheet metal fabrication and welding equipment.
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 Certification required.
• Valid Driver’s License with an insurable driving record.
• Must possess the tools necessary to perform the job.
• Forklift, scissor lift, boom lift, or similar certifications preferred.
• Ammonia refrigeration experience is a plus.

Pay: $28.00-$38.00/hour DOE
Schedule: Monday-Friday | Minimum 40 hours per week
