Christian Family Care Social Services Agency is looking to hire a full-time Foster Family & DCS Adoption (FF/DCSA) Specialist. We are a certified Best Christian Workplace organization and are accredited through the Council on Accreditation. As the FF/DCSA Specialist, you will:

  • Determine suitability of prospective adoptive families and foster care providers, including the preparation of a comprehensive psycho-social home study, interviewing applicants for motivation, dynamics, and function, as well as assessing matches and family’s knowledge of parenting from a strength-based, trauma-informed approach.
  • Educate families about adoption issues and work to resolve infertility issues with couples, making appropriate referrals as needed for counseling.
  • Assure foster homes remain in compliance with program policies, child discipline policies, and state licensing requirements always. Maintain written case records and prepare quarterly summaries, annual renewals, amendments, and withdrawals in a timely manner.
  • Act as liaison between the foster family and DCS in matters related to reimbursements and special payments. Participate in regular Foster Care department staff meetings, both giving and receiving support from fellow staff members.

If you have 1+ years’ experience in parenting skills, counseling, or in-home support services and a bachelor’s degree in social work, Family and Marriage Studies, or a closely related field, please apply now!
