Residential Program Manager — Arizona Community Protection & Treatment Center (ACPTC)
Location:
501 N 24th St, Phoenix, AZ 85008. Salary: $26.35 hourly. Work setting:
In‑hospital within a 24‑hour, 7‑day controlled residential facility. Position open until filled.
- Work full‑time, 40 hours per week on‑site.
- Manage and direct up to 20 staff—assign staff, schedule, and set priorities.
- Attend and conduct staff meetings—provide input, guide discussions, and make decisions.
- Communicate with staff, residents, family members, agency officials, and other representatives.
- Oversee inventory management—order and track supplies.
- Conduct inspections of work areas for safety, cleanliness, and security.
- Coordinate necessary repairs or address environmental concerns.
- Utilize Non‑Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) techniques and implement crisis intervention and behavior‑management procedures for residents who are violent, suicidal, or have behavior difficulties.
- Lead and manage staff using effective leadership techniques.
- Manage operations within the facility area.
- Perform crisis management and conflict resolution.
- Monitor resident behaviors and provide direct care for daily living activities.
- Write and submit reports while maintaining investigation procedures.
- Communicate effectively in written and oral formats and take direction orally or in writing.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Must obtain and maintain CPR and NVCI certification (training provided).
- Possess a valid Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card or apply within seven (7) working days after starting employment.
- Attend required training at start of employment.
- Ability to make decisions, solve problems using judgment skills.
- Ability to manage population and security.
- Ability to document and proficiently keep records for the area.
- Ability to apply regulations governing high‑security risk residents.
- Ability to work with sexually violent persons and residents with mental health issues.
