DCS Stabilization Specialist – Full-Time
Terros Health invites you to join our team in the North and West Phoenix areas as a DCS Stabilization Specialist. The role is full‑time with flexible hours, supporting foster care families and qualified residential treatment programs to reduce crises that threaten child placement.
Location & ScheduleNorth Phoenix:
Welcome Center at 25th Ave and Dunlap. West Valley Community option available.
Hours:
Monday–Friday 10:00 a.m. – 6:30 p.m., with one weekend day and evening shift required. Workday schedules are coordinated around school hours and after‑school programs.
- Complete weekly planned interventions and attend Child and Family Team (CFT) meetings as scheduled.
- Respond to crisis calls to support individuals in DCS custody at risk of disruption.
- Develop individual service plans, emergency contact sheets, and at‑risk crisis plans using person‑centered planning, positive behavior support, and Love‑and‑Logic parenting techniques.
- Complete written assessments and document all coordination of care services.
- Contact placements within 24 hours upon a new referral and DCS case managers within 48 hours.
- Foster positive relationships with families, DCS, RBHA, QSPs, and other stakeholders through meetings and events.
- Engage foster care families and GHs to develop rapport, trust, and understanding of family dynamics.
- Collaborate with the Child and Family Team to create crisis prevention plans.
- Provide support, education, and recommendations to families and QRTPs to prevent crises and maintain a safe environment.
- GED/High school diploma required.
- Minimum 1½ years of behavioral health experience.
- DCS experience preferred.
- Bilingual in Spanish is a plus; additional language differential available.
