Experience with the child welfare system, providing support and education to parents and families preferred
CHCS in partnership with the Maine Department of Health and Human Services Office of Child & Families Services (ME OCFS) are seeking substance use disorder professionals to serve as Consultants within the ME OCFS offices statewide to provide substance use assessments, treatment recommendations, and referrals to individuals and families involved in the child welfare system. This is a wonderful opportunity to support families effected by Substance use to improve the outcome for their families and support goals for reunification.
Consultants will also offer training and consultation services to ME OCFS on topics related to substance use disorder and treatment. SUD consultants will be located within OCFS district offices but will be employed by and clinically supervised through CHCS. The position will require some travel within the state. Assessments will be completed in person and in some cases through telehealth.
Experience with the child welfare system and with providing support and education to parents and families preferred but not required.
Must have a valid State of Maine driver’s license and automobile liability coverage of $100,000/$300,000.
