______________________________________________________________________________ Position SummaryPeer Support Specialists (PSS) are young adults (ages 18–24) with relevant lived experience with primary or secondary interpersonal violence (IPV), including domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, stalking, or sex trafficking.
Integrated into the Real Talk Peer Support Program , PSS staff deliver strengths-based, non-clinical peer education, outreach, and warm referrals to youth ages 11–24. Specialists receive MIKID training, AHCCCS certification, ongoing clinical supervision, and trauma-informed support to protect against vicarious trauma.
Key Responsibilities- Group Facilitation: Facilitate two 12-session Real Talk Peer Support Groups annually (in-person or online) for youth at partner organizations.
- Curriculum Delivery: Deliver the 7-Dose Curriculum to youth in local community settings.
- Trainings & Events: Plan and promote the L.E.V.E.L. Peer Response training and implement three "First Friday" peer engagement activities per year.
- Community Outreach: Conduct outreach to promote BLOOM
365’s mission. Provide resources and education on relationship safety to youth, families, and program partners. - Program Tracking & Supervision: Maintain tracking and outcome data for all engagement activities; participate in bi-weekly supervision with the Deputy Director and Clinical Supervisor.

Experience:
Ages 18–24 with personal lived experience (primary or secondary) with interpersonal violence. - Certifications: Successful completion of (or ability to complete) MIKID PSS training, AHCCCS certification, and BLOOM
365 program trainings (7-Dose, L.E.V.E.L., Real Talk). - Education:
High School diploma or equivalent required and some college or technical skills training strongly preferred. - Clearances: Active Arizona Level 1 (IVP) Fingerprint Clearance Card and a clean background check.
- Transportation: Valid Driver’s License, reliable transportation, and a clean driving record.
- Strong group facilitation skills with the ability to offer empathetic, non-judgmental support.
- Comfort providing peer support and outreach in both virtual and in-person settings.
- Tech-savvy:
Proficient with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, virtual meeting tools, and reporting databases. - High commitment to maintaining strict participant confidentiality and consistent attendance.
- Blend of office and field environments (schools, community centers, detention settings).
- Occasional outdoor outreach events across varying weather conditions.
- Ability to alternate sitting and standing throughout an 8-hour period and sometimes longer.
- Ability to perform all above-mentioned duties with or without accommodations.
- Valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation for travel throughout Maricopa County.
