About MF Professional Services, Inc. MF Professional Services, Inc. ("MFPS") is an employee leasing and professional services organization that provides human resources, payroll, benefits administration, and operational support services to mission-driven organizations. This position supports MFPS clients, including Mi Familia Vota ("MFV") and Mi Familia en Acción ("MFA"). Employees of MFPS may perform services on behalf of MFPS clients in support of their operational, programmatic, and organizational goals.

About Mi Familia Vota and Mi Familia en Acción Mi Familia Vota and Mi Familia en Acción are national, Latino-led civic engagement organizations dedicated to building political power, strengthening civic engagement, and advancing policies that support Latino communities. MFA, a 501(c)(3) organization, conducts nonpartisan programs focused on citizenship, voter registration, voter education, leadership development, and issues including immigration, education, healthcare, voting rights, workers' rights, reproductive rights, and the environment.

MFV, a 501(c)(4) organization, builds Latino political power through advocacy, organizing, and mobilization to help ensure that Latino voices shape the policies affecting their health, safety, and prosperity. Together, MFV and MFA operate one of the largest Latino civic engagement infrastructures in the country, with programs across Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Nevada, North Carolina, Texas, and Washington, D.C.

Position Summary The Canvasser supports the work of MFPS and its clients, including Mi Familia Vota and Mi Familia en Acción, by conducting voter registration, voter education, civic engagement, and mobilization activities within assigned Latino communities. This field-based position visits residential neighborhoods, businesses, community locations, and public events to engage community members using approved scripts, materials, forms, and outreach methods. The Canvasser collects and accurately documents voter-contact information, follows all reporting requirements, and handles voter-registration forms and community data securely.

This is a seasonal, part-time position scheduled for up to 30 hours per week. Continued employment or an extension of the assignment may be considered based on business needs, available funding, employee performance, and other operational factors, but is not guaranteed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The employee will perform the essential duties described below in support of MFPS and its clients, including Mi Familia Vota and Mi Familia en Acción, as assigned by MFPS-authorized management. Community and Voter Engagement Canvass assigned residential neighborhoods, businesses, community locations, and public events. Engage community members regarding voter registration, voter education, voting by mail, Get Out the Vote activities, and other approved civic engagement initiatives.

Support approved efforts to identify, educate, register, and mobilize eligible voters. Encourage civic participation within Latino communities using approved and culturally responsive outreach practices. Communicate accurate, non-misleading, and approved information. Use only authorized scripts, talking points, forms, literature, digital tools, and calls to action. Ask required questions and accurately document community-member responses. Respect individuals who decline participation or ask that outreach end.

Refer legal, policy, media, complaint, or other complex questions to the Canvass Lead or other designated supervisor. Avoid making promises, representations, or commitments beyond delegated authority. Represent MFPS and its clients professionally in all community interactions.

Voter-Registration Activities Provide voter-registration applications and approved assistance in accordance with applicable law and organizational procedures. Review voter-registration forms for apparent completeness without altering or completing information on behalf of an applicant unless specifically permitted by law and organizational procedure. Protect completed and partially completed voter-registration forms from loss, damage, alteration, unauthorized access, or disclosure. Maintain required custody, tracking, storage, and submission records for voter-registration forms.

Return all completed, incomplete, spoiled, or unused forms according to established procedures and deadlines. Promptly report lost, damaged, incomplete, altered, or potentially mishandled forms. Never discard, withhold, falsify, prefill without authorization, or alter voter-registration forms. Never represent a job application, petition, survey, or other document as a voter-registration form, or a voter-registration form as another type of document.
