About the Role

The Peer Coach – Driver provides recovery-focused peer support, transportation services, and member advocacy to individuals participating in New Freedom programs. This position serves as a trusted mentor and role model while helping members navigate recovery, community resources, employment opportunities, and treatment services. The role combines peer support responsibilities with safe transportation services to ensure members remain engaged in the services and supports they need to succeed

What You’ll Be Responsible For

  • Providing peer support, mentorship, advocacy, and recovery coaching services
  • Assisting members in identifying strengths, setting goals, and developing recovery-focused plans
  • Supporting members in developing life skills, social skills, and community integration strategies
  • Transporting members safely to approved appointments, employment activities, treatment services, community resources, and recovery supports
  • Conducting prison pick-ups, release transports, and other approved transportation assignments when needed
  • Completing vehicle inspections, mileage logs, and transportation documentation

    Maintaining assigned vehicles in a safe, clean, and professional condition
  • Collaborating with clinical, reentry, transitional services, and case management teams to support member success

  • Individuals feel supported, encouraged, and engaged throughout their recovery journey
  • Transportation services are provided safely, professionally, and efficiently

  • Strong relationships are developed with members while maintaining professional boundaries
  • Recovery, treatment, employment, and reentry goals are supported through active engagement and advocacy
